This class engages school age children in yoga using games, creativity and positive guidance. Children build confidence, strength, flexibility and body awareness through the exploration of many yoga postures. Mindfulness practices allow students to build focus and concentration, as well as develop a sense of quiet mind. Students are encouraged to tune into the needs of their body and choose yoga postures to meet their needs during the class. Yoga poses, breathing and guided meditation are integrated to create a positive class experience. Each class ends with relaxation.
This class is designed for Kg-2nd grade. 5 year olds must be in Kindergarten to enroll in this class.
