Yoga for 8-11 year olds engages school age children in yoga using games, creativity and positive guidance. School age children build confidence, strength, flexibility and body awareness through the exploration of many yoga postures. Mindfulness practices allow students to build focus and concentration, as well as develop a sense of quiet mind. Students are encouraged to tune into the needs of their body and choose yoga postures to meet their needs during the class. Yoga poses, breathing and guided meditation are integrated to create a positive class experience. Each class ends with relaxation.
