Mindful Living is an 8-week, interactive group experience aimed at teaching pre-teens healthy stress-coping and positive peer relations. Focusing on the interconnection between our thoughts, feelings and choices, each Mindful Living session includes a brief learning activity, followed by a corresponding pranayama breathing, mindful movement and visualization practice. Finally, each class ends with a group discussion to help young yogis integrate each lesson into their daily lives.
Mindful Living has been created by Toby Mills, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Yoga to Grow Instructor, with over 15 years of experience working with youth and families. Mindful Living groups have been successfully implemented in Columbia Public Schools and local after school programs and we are looking forward to bringing the program to our Yoga to Grow Family.
