The 95 Hour YTG Teacher Training is designed for those who wish to deepen their studies, seek a career as a children’s yoga teacher and become eligible to be Registered Children’s Yoga Teachers. This track is offered in three training modules, Foundations of Teaching Yoga to Children, Advanced Methods of Teaching Yoga to Children, and Application and Practicum: Teaching Children’s Yoga
Your journey to becoming a Registered Yoga to Grow Teacher begins with Foundations of Teaching Yoga to Children. In this five day intensive training you will learn the building blocks of teaching yoga to children. We will explore teaching through songs, games, stories, posture flows and guided meditation. You will learn how to integrate the core components of children’s yoga and Yoga to Grow Class Elements to create a successful yoga class. Discussion, teaching clinics, practice, observation and practice teach experience will prepare you to teach effectively and confidently.
After successful completion of Foundations Training and 10 hours of teaching experience, you are ready to enroll in the advanced training modules. These training modules will expand your knowledge of yoga and build on your strengths as a teacher. You may enroll in these modules in any order. During advanced training you will deepen your knowledge of yoga philosophy, anatomy, child development and effective teaching. In each training module you will lead two practice classes and receive individualized feedback and set goals to strengthen your teaching skills. The Advanced Modules are offered in small group format and are designed to take your knowledge and skills to an advanced level.
Upon completion of all three training modules, 20 hours of teaching experience and 8 hours of reading assignments you will reach the level of Registered Yoga to Grow Teacher. Those who have completed a 200 Hour Teacher Training at a Yoga Alliance registered school (RYS) may apply as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance.
