The YTG Children’s Yoga Teacher Training is designed for any yoga practitioner who wants to share their passion for yoga with children. The mission of our training is to combine knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice with yoga philosophy and experiential learning. We believe that this is the key to developing confident, knowledgeable teachers who are prepared to take yoga to the children in their community. This certification program will provide you with the knowledge, tools and experience to begin teaching fun, creative, imaginative and child-focused yoga in your classroom, yoga studio or community setting.
Yoga to Grow Teacher Training is open to yoga teachers, yoga students, classroom teachers, family counselors, social workers, therapists, speech therapist, physical therapists, occupational therapists, preschool teachers and other professionals who work with children. Experience with yoga practice is suggested, however, it is not necessary to currently be a yoga teacher to attend our training.
Foundations of Teaching Yoga to Children is the foundation of our training program. Upon successful completion of the Foundations Training, participants will become Certified Yoga to Grow Teachers. Those seeking to complete the 95 hour training may choose to attend Advanced Methods of Teaching Yoga to Children and Teaching Children’s Yoga: Application and Practicum. Upon completion of the three training modules, coursework and 20 hours of teaching, participants will become Registered Yoga to Grow Teachers. Those who have completed a 200 Hour Teacher Training and hold RYT credentials from Yoga Alliance can register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher. It is not necessary for participants to register in all levels of training to attend the Foundations Training to become a Certified Yoga to Grow Teacher.
